    When does the program start and end? June/July. What are the program objectives? Knowledge and skill acquisition about health careers for minority youth. At the end of the program, the students make will present a project presentation of their experience. The week will also include tours of Wake Forest School of Medicine and gaining hands-on exposure and clinical experiences to the array of Medical careers. These programs include Medical Doctor, Physician's Assistant, CRNA (Academic Nursing), and the Graduate Sciences. Students will participate in a week-long medical program which focuses on the medical aspect of the programming and it offers more in-depth hands-on clinical experience during the week-long camp, the students will be exposed to all of our school of medicine programs. This program annually enrolls 30 to 40 underrepresented minority junior and senior high school students who have an interest in a medical career and academic potential for a career in the health sciences. The program is designed to recruit, educate, and prepare underrepresented 11th and 12th grade high school students for a career in Medicine. What is the program about? The Wake Forest Medical Scholars Summer Program is an initiative sponsored by the School of Medicine’s Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity.
